Visit the Acropolis and its famous Parthenon overlooking Athens on foot, accompanied by a guide!
You will join your group and the guide in the late afternoon near the Acropolis Rock. Your guide, an archaeological specialist, will lead you on foot to the famous Parthenon which is surprisingly well-preserved with views over the city of Athens and the Saronic Gulf. He will tell you the fascinating history of one of the most important sites in the Western world. On Acropolis Rock, you will also explore the Theatre of Dionysus, the Asclepieion of Athens, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Temple of Athena Nike which bear witness to 2,500 years of history.
Visiting the Acropolis at the end of the day avoids the crowds and heat of the morning.
After a two-hour guided walking tour, the tour will end where it began, in the centre of Athens.
