Explore the remote areas of Hungary, visit Kecskemét and spend the day on a farm! A horse-drawn carriage ride, a horse show and a traditional meal with gipsy music are on the programme!
You will meet your guide in Budapest city centre and drive to the small town of Kecskemét. Just one hour from Budapest, you'll walk through its charming alleys with your guide to discover the churches, the town hall and other beautiful Art Nouveau buildings.
You'll then drive back to the heart of the rural Puszta ("desert" in Slavic), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also known as the "Great Hungarian Grasslands", this steppe region was once inhabited only by shepherds and cowherds on horseback. You will then discover a traditional Hungarian farm where you will be welcomed with a ''Barack Pálinka'' (a kind of apricot schnapps) and a ''Pogácsa'', a local savoury cake.
You will then board a carriage for a pleasant ride surrounded by the typical landscapes of the region.
Your day will continue with an equestrian performance during which dangerous tricks will be performed. You will then enjoy traditional dishes during lunch (3 courses including the famous goulash soup), while listening to gypsy music before returning to the city centre of Budapest.
