Climb on board an all-terrain vehicle and be taken on a discovery of Daintree National Park and Cooktown!

Departing from Cairns, you will travel along the coast towards Daintree National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cross the Daintree River on a ferry before heading to the heart of the rainforest. Go off the beaten track as you discover the magnificent scenery of Queensland.

For lunch, you will stop off at one of the oldest pubs in the Australian bush. In the afternoon, you will head off again to discover the Black Mountain National Park. Upon arrival at Cooktown, you can take in the panoramic views of the town and its surrounding areas. Then, explore the town at your own pace.

You will then head back either in the all-terrain vehicle or by plane. From the plane, you will have a breathtaking view of the coast of Daintree and the Great Barrier Reef. If you choose the all-terrain vehicle option, you will explore a variety of exotic landscapes.

  • Availability: Monday and Thursday (excluding exceptional dates).
  • Time: 6:30am from hotels in Cairns, 7am from hotels at the beach, 8am from Port Douglas
  • Departure point: your hotel in Cairns
  • Duration: 14 hrs. approx. if you choose the return by all-terrain vehicle, 12 hrs. approx. if you choose the return by plane 
  • Language: English
     
  • The local service provider reserves the right to change the route in the event of adverse weather conditions
  • On board the plane, luggage is limited to 16kg per person. Hand luggage must not exceed 4kg.
  • The return journey by plane takes 45 mins approx.
  • Please arrive at Cooktown Airport at least 45 minutes early
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended
  • Children under the age of 4 years may not participate in this activity
  • You will be asked to pay a fuel supplement of AUD $20 per person. The supplement is to be paid on the day (in cash). This is one of our service provider’s requirements and is beyond our control
