With the bus transport option, you will travel to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes and will be brought back to the town at the end of your visit.

  • Bus journey time: approximately 30 minutes - allow 1 hour for travel both ways
  • Departure point: in front of the entrance to Machu Picchu or in Aguas Calientes if the optional bus journey is chosen
  • Don't forget to bring your passport, which will be required
  • With the transport option, your guide will pick you up on foot in front of your hotel in Aguas Calientes and accompany you to the bus station. If you are arriving by train, they will meet you at the station. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed after booking
  • You will need to select an arrival time when booking. This is your entry time at Machu Picchu. You must arrive at the Machu Picchu citadel at the time specified on your ticket. Please note that this is not the time for the shuttle bus.
  • If you choose the optional bus, plan to leave at least 50 minutes before your entrance time at Machu Picchu.
