Let's discover Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, one of the city's most important monuments!
Sainte-Sophie, from the Greek Hagía Sophía meaning "wisdom of God", was first a church and then a mosque before becoming a museum in 1934. In 2020, it was once again named a mosque following a government decision, so today it is once again a place of worship.
Thanks to your entrance ticket you'll have access to an app on your smartphone where you'll find an audio guide in several languages. You'll then be able to visit Saint Sophia at your own pace and learn more about the monument's architecture and history.
Throughout your visit, you'll also discover the history of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, as well as the history of the country through the museum's many collections.
