Away from the coast, the Algarve offers a vast expanse of fields and mountains where the region's craftsmen still follow tradition. By bus, you will reach the Moorish town of Loulé. You will walk through the old town and learn about the traditional art of basket weaving using palm leaves. You will also discover the fresh produce in the local market and enjoy the peace of the Algarve countryside. You will drive to the village of Querença, famous for its white houses and its Moorish-influenced architecture. You will visit the Salir Archaeological Museum to see the pottery, before going to the Barranco do Velho distillery. Finally, you'll stroll through the charming, picturesque village of Alte with its colourful window borders and jagged chimneys. You will enjoy a lunch break at Alte (lunch not included) and free time to explore the village. You will be driven back to Faro, after a day of criss-crossing the Algarve countryside.
