Set off on a boat adventure along the Kona coast and dive into the waters of Kealakekua Bay and Honaunau in Hawaii!
You'll meet your boat at Keauhou Bay on the east side of Hawaii Island (Big Island). Your cruise lasts around 4 hours, including exploring the Kona coastline and diving into the crystal-clear waters. Captains will accompany you throughout your excursion, sharing stories about the island's cultural and geological history.
You'll snorkel 2 treasures of Hawaii's Big Island. First, you'll explore the waters of Kealakekua Bay, known as the ancient burial ground of a Hawaiian kingdom, it was discovered by James Cook and his ships in 1779. Then you'll head south to Pu'uhonua O Honaunau, a sacred site full of reefs and structures important to the history of Hawaiian culture. You will have the opportunity to see the coral reef located in the shallow waters and home to a wide variety of different plants and animals.
During this excursion, you will also explore sea caves and lava tubes, created during the formation of the Big Island, the main island of the Hawaiian archipelago. With a bit of luck, you may spot dolphins, whales or even turtles.
Local snacks and tropical juices will be served on board the boat.
