Enjoy a day trip to two Spanish medieval cities, departing from Madrid!
After meeting your guide at the meeting point in Madrid, you will take the coach to Salamanca, renowned for its history and architecture. You will start your guided tour in the Plaza Mayor, which has an original Baroque-influenced style and rectangular shape.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the old and new Salamanca Cathedral, which together form a large Gothic and Baroque architectural ensemble (admission included). Finally, you will pass the University of Salamanca, one of the oldest universities in Europe.
It will then be time to head to Ávila! On arrival, you will enter the city through the Ávila Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which encircles the ancient heart of the city. Your guide will share anecdotes and secrets with you about the 80 towers that make up this Romanesque monument. You will also discover the Basilica of St. Vincent and the city's main cathedral during your visit.
You will have some free time to enjoy the city on your own, before heading back to Madrid.
