Discover the history of Mendoza on a walking tour of the city!

Leaving from your hotel accompanied by your guide, you'll set out to discover Mendoza.

Your tour will begin with a visit to the city's historical Founding Square where the Spanish conquistador Pedro del Castillo founded Mendoza on 2 March 1561. You'll then go to the Area Fundacional museum and the Jesuit ruins of the historic site.

This is followed by a walk towards the Basílica San Francisco inspired by Paris's Trinity Church. You'll go to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism: the former Banco Hipotecario. During your walk, you'll pass by Plaza España and Plaza Independencia.

Your visit will continue with the city's large park, the almost 400-hectare General San Martín Park, a lush green area with a nearby lake. You'll then go to the Cerro de la Gloria, a small mount topped by a memorial to the Army of the Andes with gorgeous mountain views.

Once done, you'll leave for the Santuario Nuestra Señora de Lourdes del Challao, a sanctuary and a buzzing plaza in the north-west of the city.

Once you finish your history-packed half-day you'll be taken back to your hotel.
