Explore the wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula for a day, from Chichen Itza to the colourful city of Izamal and a dip in a Cenote!
You'll hit the road with your guide early in the day and head to the Mayan civilization's most famous site: Chichen Itza. You'll explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site with your guide and see, among other things, the famous pyramid of Kukulkán "El Castillo", the Temple of the Warriors and the astronomical observatory of El Caracol.
You'll then head off to a Cenotefor a refreshing break. Cenotes are natural sinkholes, partially filled with fresh water. You can relax in this natural pool or enjoy some snorkelling.
The third stop of the day is the the charming town of Izamal, nicknamed the "Yellow City" due to its buildings' sunny facades. This Yucatan Peninsula city features architecture from two major historical periods: the pre-Hispanic period with its Mayan temples and Franciscan convents dating back to the colonial period. You'll also get some free time to explore city.
You'll then be driven back to your hotel or the meet-up point after a fun day in the heart of the Yucatán Peninsula.
