Enjoy a 2-day safari from Nairobi to discover Amboseli National Park and observe the animals in their natural environment!
Amboseli National Park is the second most visited park in Kenya. Renowned for the many animal species that live there, it is also appreciated for its proximity to Kilimanjaro, offering a unique backdrop with the view of the mountain.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi in the early morning and drive south-east to Amboseli Park, located close to the border with Tanzania. After around 4 hours' drive, on arrival at the park, you will be taken to your lodge for a lunch break.
At around 4pm, you'll set off on a sunset safari. Accompanied by an expert ranger guide, you will drive around the park in a 4x4/jeep in search of the animals of the savannah. At the end of the day, the animals are more active. So you're more likely to come across giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants and even lions! You will have the chance to approach them in their natural environment without disturbing them. You will return to the lodge at the end of the day for dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning, before sunrise, you will set off on your second "game drive". As with the end of the day, there's a good chance you'll come across animals at the start of the day. In fact, they often take advantage of the early morning chill to hunt. The morning is also the perfect time to enjoy an unobstructed view of Kilimanjaro.
You will join your lodge in the morning for breakfast. You will then set off again in the direction of Nairobi.
