Discover the heart of China’s history with a private tour of The Great Wall of China and The Ming tombs!
Start by visiting the Badaling or Mutianyu sections of the wall. Badaling is the most famous part of the tourist site and the first area open to tourists. Mutianyu is less visited than Badaling.
When you arrive you will be able to take a cable car to the top (1015 metres up) and survey the area from up high. To get there without getting the cable car, you have to walk around 30-45 minutes to get to the walkers entrance of the great wall.
For around 3 hours stroll around the historic site classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Soak up the sights and explore the 3rd century military fortifications at your own pace.
Have lunch in a local restaurant and enjoy a traditional meal.
At the start of the afternoon visit the Ming and Changling tombs. These tombs, on Tianzhu Mountain, contain 13 emperors from the Ming Dynasty.
Then walk along the Sacred Walk, a famous section of the wall, lined with guard animals which leads to the entrance.
You will be returned to your hotel at the end of the afternoon.
