Discover deep-sea fishing in the company of a friendly crew and enjoy your freshly caught fish!

Go to Reykjavik's old port where you'll meet the crew who will accompany you throughout the activity.

You'll board an Icelandic fishing boat, and set off for the bays surrounding Reykjavik, particularly Faxaflói Bay renowned for its fishy waters.

Watch the Icelandic scenery during the cruise, and you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a puffin!

The boat will make a stop at an intimate and ideal spot, where you'll learn the different fishing techniques and have the opportunity to try your hand at a few.

After the lesson and a few attempts, it's time for the best part of the activity! The crew will barbecue your freshly caught fish, and you'll enjoy it with side dishes.

You'll be driven back to Reykjavik after an outstanding activity.

  • This activity is open to all, beginners and amateurs
  • If you don't want to eat your fish on board, you'll have the option of leaving with it at the end of your activity
  • Part of the boat is covered, so you can keep warm if necessary. Toilets and a bar are also available on board
  • Please remember to dress warmly. Warm wetsuits and plaids are available free of charge on board
  • Your cruise ticket gives you access to the whale-watching center located next to the embarkation point (open from 8am to 5pm in summer and 11am to 1pm in winter)
  • Due to adverse weather conditions, our local partner reserves the right to cancel an excursion. Should this occur, you will need to arrange a new excursion date directly with our local partner (at no extra cost)
  • This tour is accessible to people with reduced mobility
