You will meet your guide at the Kinissi Palace hotel and start your tour on the Aristotelous Square to have traditional Greek coffee.
You will continue to one of Thessaloniki's liveliest neighbourhoods. You will taste many specialities such as koulouriandBougatsa, (two types of bread dating from the Byzantine Empire) that you can fill with cream, spinach, cheese or ground meat.
Your guide will then take you to the two most famous open-air markets and tell you all the stories and anecdotes about these places. On the Athonos square, you will discover "Ouzeris", small traditional Greek taverns where you will tastemezedes, a variety of traditional dishes, along withouzo , local liqueur and tsípouro , a pomace brandy.
Your tour will end in the city's oldest confectioner's shop to try siropiasta, pastries that have existed for over 90 years. Your guide will then take you back to Aristotelous Square and suggest you other places to visit.
