Step back in time with a guided day trip to the ancient Roman city of Itálica, departing from Seville!
From Seville, you'll head to the village of Santiponce to explore Itálica, the first Roman city founded outside of Italy and birthplace of the emperors Trajan and Hadrian.
Your guide will lead you through the well-preserved archaeological site, where you'll see Roman houses, paved streets, impressive mosaics, thermal baths, and temples. One of the highlights of the visit is the vast amphitheatre, once holding up to 25,000 spectators — one of the largest in the Roman Empire.
Fans of the series will recognize this spectacular site as a filming location for Game of Thrones, specifically the Dragonpit scenes in the final seasons.
After visiting the ruins, you’ll enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Seville, with views of the Triana Bridge, the Torre del Oro and the lively Betis Street.
You’ll return to your starting point in Seville by early afternoon.
