Located at the top of the city, the Cathedral of Tarragona is a masterpiece of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, and an unmissable historical site. Built on the site of an ancient temple dedicated to Emperor Augustus, this cathedral stands out with its imposing central nave and surprising brightness. You will discover a rich collection of artworks, including a magnificent Gothic rose window, a Renaissance organ, and a Gothic altarpiece in the main altar.

The audioguide, available in French, will accompany you throughout your visit and provide information on the various architectural styles present, from the Romanesque to the Gothic periods. You can also explore the Romanesque cloister, the largest in Catalonia, accessible through an impressive Romanesque portal.

The activity also includes a visit to the Diocesan Museum, which houses medieval artworks and a superb collection of Gothic art. You can also follow the archaeological route, to observe the remains of the defensive walls of the imperial site of Tarraco and discover prehistoric objects exhibited in the canons' chambers.
