Discover extraordinary landscapes in southern Patagonia and explore the incredible ice caves at the Vinciguerra Glacier!
From your hotel, you will travel to the starting point of your excursion, located 7 kilometres from Ushuaia in the Andorra Valley. Accompanied by your guide, you will start the first part of the trip in this valley, considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. You will discover the Patagonian flora and pass the peat bogs, a unique ecosystem in Tierra del Fuego. You will cross the Grande River, and begin your ascent into the lenga forest, where you will be able to observe these huge trees that reach up to 30 metres in height.
You will begin two ascents into the forest that will require a little effort. Then you will take a break at the foot of a small waterfall, where you will enjoy the scenery and the contrasting colours between the green of the forest and the colourful flowers around the waterfall.
You will continue your walk for a final climb, the most demanding of the route. Leaving the valley of Andorra, you'll continue in a high mountainous landscape to the glacial lagoon of Los Tempanos. You will have time to take pictures and admire the glacier lake. You will then walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Vinciguerra glacier. You will see the incredible ice caves and have the opportunity to touch the ice. You will have time to explore the glacier and to take a lunch break near the caves.
After recovering your energy, you will make your way back to your excursion starting point. You will be taken back to your hotel afterwards.
